DIGITAL LITERACY
NASCO Feeding Minds
Our objective: feeding minds. With your donation, we build computer classrooms in rural schools in Ghana and we provide solutions in the origin country to the problem of forced migrations.
01
We collect, update and reuse disused computers and laptops.
02
Through digital education, we give new tools to Ghanaian young people to decide their future.
03
We generate a social and economic impact in rural communities by providing development opportunities.

OUSMAN UMAR
Maybe you have heard my story…
“I crossed the Sahara on foot, the sea in a dinghy and saw my friends die. Five years later I arrived in Spain… Why had I suffered so much? Why so much struggle? What had I done wrong? I understood that the question was not “why” but “for what”…”
You have seen us at:
66,000 CHILDREN HAVE BEEN IN OUR CLASSROOMS,
but the beginning was not easy…
“When the Ghanaian Minister of Education rejected my project, I understood that if I did not take the responsibility, nobody would. I bought the very first 45 computers with my own salary, as a bicycle mechanic, and we opened the first classroom on September 12, 2012. I still get thrilled remembering it.” Ousman.

HELP US CHANGE HISTORY
Decades of shipping food to Africa has not changed the emergency situation. Thousands of people die each year crossing the desert and the Mediterranean in search of a better future. With your help, we create ICT classrooms in rural areas of Ghana to avoid that, due to the lack of opportunities, the young people of today become the immigrants of the future.
INFO
15.000€ per year is what we need to pay for the maintenance costs of each computer room:
- payment to teachers
- continuous training
- extracurricular activities
- payment of taxes, electricity and security
We have 11 classrooms in five regions of Ghana and we need your help to continue expanding to the rest of the territory.
Secure payment. You can unsubscribe whenever you want.
The first €250 you contribute will be deducted at 80% and from €250 onwards, at 40%. If you are a taxpayer in the US you can get tax relief by making a donation here.
ONGOING PROJECTS
We are carrying out many projects that involve entire communities. Our commitment is to educate, train and provide the appropriate tools to generate developmental opportunities.

DIGITAL EDUCATION
We started 10 years ago with ICT training. We currently have 11 computer classrooms that benefit more than 30 schools. Every year more than 3000 children go through these classrooms. Have a look (+)
NASCO Base Camp
Since its launch, NASCO Feeding Minds has been successful in engaging the majority of schools in the area. It has been necessary to build a NASCO headquarters to accommodate teachers and volunteers, have storage space for materials for all projects, and additional space for the new projects we have in mind.
SOLAR PANELS
The number of people without access to electricity is 860 million. 595 million are concentrated in Africa. Ghana, despite being one of the sub-Saharan countries with the best numbers, still had 4.6 million people without access to electricity. 76% is the rural population. Have a look (+)

If you give me a plate of rice, you feed me one day, but if you educate me, you will do it for more than 100 years.
