COVID-19 in Ghana
The declaration of the state of alarm has forced the closure of schools. More than 30 schools and 3.800 students have been affected by this situation. We have created points for hand washing, distributed gels and masks. We are looking for funds to purchase 3000 kits for testing.
Actions
We have carried out a series of actions to fight COVID-19 in Ghana.
2 thousand masks
A group of women dressmakers in the region has sewn a total of 2000 masks.
30 handwash points
We have created 30 handwashing points in markets and busy places in the region and we have distributed 50 disinfectant gels.
Awareness-raising with nurses
We have carried out a public awareness campaign with nursing students.
