CLIMATE CHANGE
Since 2016, we have planted more than 905 trees. The objective is to educate students about the protection and care of the environment.
What has been done
Climate change campaign
In order to take the first steps in environmental education in NASCO’s area of activity, we started a climate change campaign. Because of this, in 2016, we planted 250 trees in Gintalpe, of which 148 are thriving. Later in 2019 we planted 250 more trees at Sawla Vocational School. In 2023, we have more than 900 cashew and mango trees of cashew and mango planted.
2020 objectives
1 Detect what type of flora can be planted in the area.
2 Detect what actions can be taken in the area of action of NASCO Feeding Minds to start an environmental education program.
3 Detect other areas where trees can be planted.
4 Continue the climate change campaign by planting 250 more trees this summer.
5 Analyze what type of fruit trees can grow in the area.
6 Identify other places to plant more trees next year, perhaps in other villages.
7 In close collaboration with the Ghanaian contact person, it is necessary to find at least 40 students to help the volunteers during their 9 working days.

We have planted 500 trees since 2016.
