Mobile Clinic & Health screening
School absenteeism is linked to poor sanitary conditions. For this reason, we have created various campaigns, including hand washing and medical check-ups. In addition, we raised funds for an ambulance and the construction of a water well.
What has been done
Handwashing
The project started in 2016 with basic hand hygiene in our schools. Students are taught to clean their hands properly, and we are looking for funds (5000€) for the construction of a water well to bring this resource to the classroom.
Support to the Sawla Clinic
In 2018, a doctor and a nurse were helping at Sawla Hospital. In addition, they detected some network problems in which we can contribute in order to improve the health system.
HEALTH SCREENING
In 2019, we carried out a project that we baptized as “Health screening”. A previous appeal was made by several towns near Sawla, informing that medical check-ups would be carried out on specified days and times. This project was a great success.
In summer 2019, we served more than a thousand people in 15 days.
Objectives
Volunteering
Recruit a group of volunteers in order to help in the evolution of the “health screening” project, that is, with a mobile clinic.
Mobile Clinic
We have seen the great medical need in the area, and we are creating the “mobile clinic” project, which consists of acquiring an ambulance to reach more people and be better equipped
Sanitary Material
Acquire medical supplies to equip the mobile clinic and have enough medicines for all the patients we are going to attend to.

Specific goals
1. Implement a program addressed to parents with children who need special care (postoperative, ulcers, wounds…) so that they can take care of their children at home.
2. Detect hygiene problems in different groups to implement changes and contribute new ideas.
3. Acquire medical supplies to equip the mobile clinic and assist all patients.
4. Obtain an adequate means of transport to be able to travel to nearby towns.
5. Create a link between doctors in Spain and local nurses (Karim) to run the project.
