WHAT IS RACISM?

Many think that it is a concept that is limited to despise someone for the mere fact of the color of their skin. But what is the point of that really? A color can’t define the value of anything, as it is simply a characteristic of something. That is why at NASCO Feeding Minds we share the premise that racism does not exist; racism is fear of the poor. Or will Barack Obama or Will Smith get into trouble when it comes to carrying out any management?

as it is simply a characteristic of something.

For days, the networks have been filled with black pictures and the streets of demonstrations, for a very noble cause. Floyd’s death is undoubtedly the result of an inhumane and completely despicable action. But let’s not forget that sometimes you don’t have to go so far to be in solidarity. Next door, in Lleida, we have had for a long time 200 Senegalese day laborers (who collect the fruit we buy in the markets) sleeping in the city squares, despite the fact that Keita Balde, a great football player, wanted to pay for their lodging. All the hotels refused.

Criticizing is very easy, but the key is to act, not to criticize. Sometimes our neighbour is the most needy.
